Food Scarcity Unavoidable by 2100?

by Raoul A. Weiler &‎ Kris Demuynck

The planetary food production, although practiced since millennia, is quite complex. Holistic approaches are indispensable, however difficult to realize. Novel elements are used: the Köppen-Geiger Climate Classification System, the Graphical Network descriptions & related statistics, the demographic increase, with the focus on specific continents, the impact Climate Change on agriculture. Nine recommendations are suggested for coping with the existential challenge of feeding all humans by the end of the century. Among them, the creation of a world governance body, acting over several decades, for dealing with the feeding of the world population.
