Invitation to a series of webinars reserved to our members

The Co-President of the Club of Rome and the Board of the CoR-EU Chapter are pleased to invite you (all the members of the ‘European Chapters’) to a series of webinars which will combine ‘top-down’ information on the priorities and latest activities of the Club of Rome with ‘bottom-up’ participative contributions from the members in order to facilitate the implementation of our values and objectives.

The main idea is to strengthen the common knowledge of our members (the essence of a ‘think-tank’) but also to recognise that the emergencies facing the planet and its inhabitants are so big that mere thinking is not enough and that the Chapters have the potential to play an active role in improving the situation in practice.

While respecting the diversity of the different Member States, it is therefore logical that the Club of Rome sees all its Chapters working on the same (or at least similar) priorities if we are to seriously influence the decision-making process not only at the level of the Commission, but also at the level of the Parliament and Council.
This requires talking to each other, sharing the same information and eventually agreeing on common actions.

Sandrine Dixson-Declève (Co-President of the Club of Rome) has offered to introduce the series and to give the first lecture on the actual state of play of the Green Deal and to open the discussions and the co-construction process on the 5 ’Impact Hubs’: Climate-Planetary Emergency, Rethinking Finance, Reframing Economics, ENCI and Young Leadership & Intergenerational Dialogue.
